Sometimes funerals bring out the worst in people. When a loved one dies, everyone wants a beautiful, dignified funeral, respectful and appropriate to the heritage, traditions and religious views of the deceased and their family. Unfortunately, they don’t always agree how that should be done – particularly where you have a family representing two different cultural heritages.
These disputes affect everyone – the family, the friends and even the funeral service providers.
Who gets to decide? Who chooses whether to bury or cremate? Who decides when and where the funeral will be?
