COMMERCIAL LAW

Business Contracts

A significant area of commercial law is the buying and selling of businesses. Our experienced commercial law team will be happy to help you with the entire process. If you are selling your business we can assist with drafting the Contract and advising you with regard to any special conditions, attending to any requirements of your landlord, advising you with regard to restraint of trade issues, assisting you with staffing issues and generally attending to having the sale finalised on your behalf. If you are wishing to buy a business, we can again advise you in relation to the Contract and any special conditions, carry out all necessary searches which may be relevant to the particular business and/or industry, prepare restraint of trade agreements for the seller, advise you in relation to any lease, liaise with all parties to arrange the landlord’s consent to the assignment of the lease to you, and generally attend to all matters necessary to complete the process of the business in your behalf.

Commercial Agreements

At Robbins Watson we have advised and assisted a large number of clients in a wide array of industries in improving their businesses by advising clients as to their rights in various circumstances and drafting agreements such as partnership agreements, license agreements, intellectual property licence agreements, distribution agreements, subcontractor agreements, general terms of trade, disclaimers, security documents, and a range of other documents.
