Family Court Filing Deadline

The Family Court has issued a bulletin detailing the rules relating to applications for parenting orders relating to the Christmas holiday period, stating that the 'application must be filed before 4.00 pm on the second Friday in November' to be sure of being heard prior to the holiday itself.

Applications after that date may still be heard in time, but will not be given priority due to the fact that the application relates to the holiday period.
